Why spend the holidays at home when you could go out and see the sights? The Historic Decatur Christmas Tour 2019 may not be the northern lights, but it still carries the Christmas spirit you’ve been searching for! The Decatur and Albany Historic Districts will open their homes on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 3 to 8 p.m. for patrons to enjoy!
The Open Door Tour
Held annually during the second Saturday in December, the Historic Decatur Christmas Tour 2019 will feature homes in the Decatur and Albany Historic Districts.
These historic homes will open their doors for visitors to come and tour the Victorian and early 20th century craftsmanship—hallmarks of many of the homes housed in these two Historic Districts. In fact, a number of the homes showcased on the tour are listed on the National Register of Historic Places!
Home Base for the Holidays
In addition to the tour, the Westminster Presbyterian Church will host a Christmas concert featuring the Orchestra Sul Ponticello of Decatur. During the Historic Decatur Christmas Tour 2019, you will be surrounded by the sights—and sounds—of Christmas.
Still have Christmas shopping to do? Visit some of Decatur’s downtown vendors before or during the tour for last-minute stocking stuffers, gifts, and goodies!
