Spring and summer signal cookout season. This year, there’s even more reason to celebrate! CF Penn Hamburgers in Decatur has officially reopened. That’s right—after two years without their tasty food, we can finally visit them and chow down. Yum!

Two years ago in 2018, Decatur residents and visitors alike were sad to hear the CF Penn Hamburgers was closing its doors. Though it’s always been a popular joint, unfortunately it encountered a big problem: its building was scheduled for demolition. A passing storm ended up causing damage, making the building unusable. So, the restaurant packed up and began the search for its new place.
Thankfully, it’s finally found a new home. And as of February 2020, it was again open for visitors!
What can I eat at CF Penn’s?
CF Penn Hamburgers in Decatur is known for its mouthwatering burgers, but it also brings other delicious dishes to the table. The menu includes food like:
- Hot dogs;
- French fries;
- Cord dogs;
- Double cheeseburgers;
- Apple or peach pie; and
- Onion rings.
How good does that sound? Apparently, the crowd for CF Penn Hamburgers has been consistent, so Decatur is more than happy to welcome them back.
Visiting Details
You may have your order down, but do you know where to go? You can find the reopened CF Penn Hamburgers at 214 Sixth Ave. Southeast in Decatur. Currently, its hours run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Remember—it’s closed on Sundays, so you have to get your burger fix before then!
