Fun fact: did you know that the Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic doesn’t just mark the largest balloon rally in the state. Having first launched in 1978, it also stands apart as the oldest! While the balloons’ pilots will travel in from all over the country, all you have to do is go across town.
What can I do during the event?
With more than 60, seven-story-tall hot air balloons floating through the sky, you’ll find it hard to miss the celebration. And you thought they looked big from the sky!

The fun at the Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic 2021 doesn’t stop there. During the festivities, attendees can also marvel at balloon races. Two will take place a day—one at 6 a.m. and one at 6 p.m. Not to mention, you can also shop for souvenirs at the arts and crafts show and watch live entertainment.
