Well, for one thing, you can throw axes! For another, you can bring food and drinks. Those aged 21 and older are allowed to BYOB and indulge responsibly.

What if I don’t know how to throw an axe?

Don’t stress! They have coaches that will help you hit the target. From answering questions to keeping you safe, these coaches will make sure you have a good time. Consider bringing cash with you, as coaches are also allowed to accept tips!

Those aged 10 and older can try their hand at Civil Axe Throwing. Just remember—all those who participate must complete a waiver. You should also wear closed-toed shoes.

As for their hours, they’re closed on Mondays. However, they’re open from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. You can find them at 209 C Second Ave. Southeast in Decatur. That’s only about a 10-minute drive from Summer Lodge!
