Excitement is in the air in The River City, at least for members of the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce and Athens State University! And it’s all thanks to a new learning partnership in Decatur that was announced earlier this month.
About the new learning partnership
With the announcement of a new learning partnership in Decatur comes news of the first chamber learning partner for Athens State University. While the university has a list of other corporate learning partners, this partnership is unique.
For starters, the benefits of the learning partnership are extended to more than 800 businesses that are members of the Chamber. What’s more, the benefits also extend to the parents, spouses and children of Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce members!

As a new learning partnership in Decatur is set to get underway, there’s one special benefit being extended to Chamber members and their families for a limited time. As of November 1st, a student who registers and pays for the Spring 2024 semester by November 30th will get a one-time 20 percent tuition discount.
Normally, benefits will include a 10 percent tuition discount on all classes and a waived application fee. Free examination of prior training, professional qualifications and portfolios for the purpose of determining transfer credit is another benefit.
